for mary colt

Mary Colt left us on June 20, the day before I made
this picture.  Mary was a great person and artist, always encouraging
others, and always a great correspondent.  She once told me
that I would find some special place to do my art and make a special
spiritual connection.  I don't know if I will ever find just one, but this
place is one of them, Nauset Light Beach, with towering views over
the ocean from the top of the sand cliffs.

Yesterday I was there with a friend to see the second sunrise of the
summer.  This is one of the pictures I made there.  In some way we were
keeping our own vigil for Mary, and I offer this to celebrate her life and passing.

~ Robert

Buon weekend Cri : )

    1. Thanks so much Cristina. I don't know so much about it, but abstract impressionism has been an inspiration for me. And I start with the sun, the source of all color.

  3. At a very nice service yesterday, someone compared our passing to a sunrise. I was touched. Have a good week, adele. Robert

Ciao Cristina.
